greetings from sunny (and foggy) los angeles, ca

Hi, I'm heather. I like taking pictures. I take a lot of them. I stay up way too late. I wake up with my kids way too early (for me). Though slowly I'm learning that sleep is good.

I love photographing newborns, toddlers, kids (I've got two of my own), families, pets...you name it! Large groups and weddings make me way too nervous, but I'd be happy to refer you to other photographers in the area.

I love to hear your comments, so feel free to add to my blog by posting. Having a hard time remembering "umami?" Well, I wanted a name that would be easy to remember, spell and find, but apparently I did none of that, so if you'd like to get emails when I post, just add your email to the "subscribe here" box... you'll be the first to find out when I'll be offering mini sessions and other specials!

have a happy day... heather

afternoon at the beach

So last week one of my best girlfriends came to town. We had some time to fill before dinner, so we took the kids down to the beach. Everytime I take the kids to the water by myself, I always kick myself afterward, as man-to-man coverage seems to be the only way to go with 2 toddlers at the beach. While we were playing on the sand, we ran into some good neighbor friends so I decided to whip out my camera.

i'm trying out some new coloring techniques...what do you think?

Dang, it's already almost 11pm and I've got to make some baked goods for jack's preschool tomorrow. I tell you, this being a room mom thing sure does require a lot of food preparation. :) Ah, who am I kidding... baking at midnight? Well, wouldn't be the first time, but guess I'll put it off until tomorrow morning. Good thing he's in the p.m. class! Have a great week everyone!
