greetings from sunny (and foggy) los angeles, ca

Hi, I'm heather. I like taking pictures. I take a lot of them. I stay up way too late. I wake up with my kids way too early (for me). Though slowly I'm learning that sleep is good.

I love photographing newborns, toddlers, kids (I've got two of my own), families, pets...you name it! Large groups and weddings make me way too nervous, but I'd be happy to refer you to other photographers in the area.

I love to hear your comments, so feel free to add to my blog by posting. Having a hard time remembering "umami?" Well, I wanted a name that would be easy to remember, spell and find, but apparently I did none of that, so if you'd like to get emails when I post, just add your email to the "subscribe here" box... you'll be the first to find out when I'll be offering mini sessions and other specials!

have a happy day... heather

a little baby bump

One of my best friends came out to visit and escape the cold midwest weather... too bad she got hit with rain for most of her trip out here. It was so great seeing Sarah and her little baby bump...and it was even more fun to shower her with all kinds of baby goodies. We crammed in a super quick photo session before her flight back home. I wish we could have taken more time, but I think we got some fun ones! . :)

See you in a few months after Mr.C's born!

kaylie and jack kept trying to give sarah sticks off the beach.

check out that bling!

I'm a friend of Sarah's and was extremely disappointed that I was not able to see her when she visited LA a few weeks ago. So I was so happy when she shared your stunning photos of her at the beach. You truly captured how beautiful, happy and peaceful she is now that she is on the road to being a mother. Your photos are inspiring. I sincerely loved them!
