He still has a super high voice that cracks me up, but man is he growing up.
Jack.can.read.and.spell. What?!
A conversation between our neighbor and jack this afternoon:
neighbor - Remind me what your name is again...
jack - j - a - c - k.... jack. I'm jack. C - A - T spells cat.
neighbor - Wow, can you spell dog?
jack - Dog, dog, da, d - o - g spells dog.
neighbor - Where did you learn to spell?
jack - Well, my Hooked on Phonics and stuff like that.
I guess he could say, "Hooked on Phonics worked for me."
Before bed now, sometimes he'll read us a story. :) What a nice switch.
And he's starting to figure out how to write (I wrote the "jack" on the left, he wrote the one on the right). Not too shabby.

SHUT UP!! No risk of that happening here - we'd still rather play ball and go to the park. Oh, or watch TV. Yikes, when did that happen?! Better pull out that Phonics workbook!!
